Seeking or creating a Co-op/Commune/Institution

Hi,

I'm looking for partners and friends with whom to explore the idea of
purchasing working and living arrangements together. I need to move, and I've
always wanted to live in a big place which is conducive to life's work. That
could be but is not exclusive to things like music practice, hardware and
software hacking, welding bikes in the shop, quietly reading, throwing paint everywhere,
community dinner parties, modifying walls and structures when necessary.

To make this happen, I need to meet people with similar dreams who have proper
savings, or at least the income potential to be able to manage a loan. With the
right people, we could fill anything from 
a church to that warehouse you've always wanted to buy and live
in. That's what I really want, how do we find them?
